Question by 000: What causes tomato plants to die every year?
I was wondering if there was a way to keep a tomato plant alive through the winter so that it would get bigger like a bush or something.maybe even a tree.Does anyone know what causes the tomato plant to die every year?I have heard lack of room,sunlight and the cold.Is there anyway to keep your tomato plant alive during the winter.I was thinking maybe fertilize it well build something around it or to go over it in the winter.Any other ideas?

The tomato plant is classified as an annual. I will die once it is done producing. You cannot do anything to keep it growing year round.
