Question by Lenae: How to save my tomato plant that broke off with tomatoes on it?
I have a tomato plant that one of the branches snapped off right below where a big cluster of tomatoes are growing. I would like to save the tomatoes that are on it. The tomatoes are full size but are still a far way from being ripe. They’re still on the branch. Is there anyway to replant it or to ripen the tomatoes?

Bring them inside and set them on a counter. They will not ripen on a broken branch, but since they’re full size, are likely to ripen as they set in a few days.
When produce is shipped to northern states from California or Texas it is shipped green because it will still ripen later. If it was shipped ripe it would spoil.

Great video Aunt pam and Grandpa! Ps. Its Mitchell
if the shoot with tomatoes is compleatly separated from plant,we can do nothing. harvest those immature fruits and prepare some chutny
Put the broken-off limb in a vase, tube or other container that will hold water and add in just a little tomato food, after cutting the broken end at about a 45 degree angle. The limb will take up water and nutrients from the container just as it would from the ground and will support the growth and ripening of the fruits. It will also likely establish roots and can be planted into a pot or the ground once the fruit is harvested. Keep it in a sunny location with good air flow to prevent rot and change the water as needed. If additional support is needed for the fruit place a multi-forked stick under them.
Good luck and enjoy!
