  1. Thomson and Morgan seed co are great plant breeders, and sell via nurseries, as well as their online seed catalogue. They have a good range of tomatoes, and choose a variety that has the growing and fruiting style that you want. Eg. some are better in greenhouses, others are fine outdoors, some will trail, others will grow tall, as most do, plus they have everything from mini sweet tomatoes, upto the giant ones.

Their seeds are always good quality, and I love their range with regular new hybrids etc.

Hope this helps. Good luck! Rob

  2. Totally Tomatoes has a wide variety of tomatoes to choose from. They are a mail order catalog out of Randolph, WI: http://www.totallytomato.com

  3. Hybridizers are always coming out with new hybrids. Your area, the type of tomato and how you’ll be growing them, e.g., in planters or in the garden, all make a difference in what will work best for you. Asking at your local garden centre is a good idea. I have a fairly short growing season so I need plants that will mature fairly quickly otherwise I’ll be eating lots of fried green tomatoes and green tomato chow-chow.

  7. your state should have an agricultural college and or county extension service. Search for your state agricultural college. For instance Indiana has Purdue.
Unfortunately for us they are now tooo big and important to answer questions from hoosiers. But you might find a helpful webpage
