Question by Help Please: What can I make with these ingredients?
It’s 2 days before pay day and we are about out of food. I need a meal, I cannot eat one more TV dinner. I don’t know how I could put this all together but I have chicken breasts, potatoes, cherry tomatoes, onion, tomato sauce, shredded cheese. Obviously, those wouldn’t all go together. Aun suggestions? The easier and quicker the better. Thank you.

  27. You’ve got he perfect combination. Simply, all of these ingredients togther roasted at 350degrees for about 1 hour with the shredded cheese added in the last 15 minutes woud be lovely!

  28. Those can all go together, although you could just put the chicken in the oven and bake it–add some onion, sauce, and cheese and you’re good to go! Serve some roasted potatoes on the side, or a cherry tomato salad with some dressing and you’re set!

  29. I would start off by boiling the chicken breast to tenderness. Then I would boil the potatoes and then mash them, which would go perfectly with the chicken breast. Then i would dice the tomatoes with the cut onions in a bowl and mix with a little vinegar for a delicious salad. The cheese you can sprinkle on top of the potatoes, and if you would dare try this, mix the potatoes with the tomato sauce.
    Bon Appetit!!

  30. bake chix breasttop with tom.sauce …top with cheese…make baked potato….diceand slice onion and tomato for a salad…. or go to MIXINGBOWL.COM.THOUSANDS OFRECIPES type in ingredients, presto!!

  31. Ok here goes. Saute the onions and potato (small cubes for the potato) untill the omnions are sweet and caramalized. Add the tom sauce and simmer. Meanwhile cook the chicken untill just done and tender. Slice it and place in a baking dish, pour over the sauce and toss over the quartered cherry tomatoes. Bake for about 30-40 mins. Top with cheese and put it under the grill to glaze it. Serve with crusty bread and heaps of cracked pepper.

  32. i would just take the chicken cut each breast in half and throw it in a frying pan with just a little oil cut up a little bit of onion throw it in witht he chicken. cook till golden take the potatoes cut each potatoe in half then cut each half in half and so on till you get what i like to call Potatoe pieces throw them in fryin if u have garlic podwer throw some of that in with some salt and pepper and just cook everything till its golden.

  33. A layered casserole, add some cooked chicken and cheese put that over the potatoes, and then put something crunchy on top, either bread crumbs, crushed potato chips, ff onion rings, whatever. Bake until golden and bubbly.

Italian Braised Chicken With Red Potatoes

2 split chicken breasts with skin and bone
3-4 medium (3 inch) redskin potatoes, scrubbed and halved
3 (or more) cloves garlic, minced
    1/4 cup course chopped onions
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    2 tsp. dried thyme
    2 tsp. oregano
    1 jar cheese sauce

Salt and pepper to your taste (I add a little after each addition of ingredients)

    Heat oil in dutch oven.
Sprinkle cut side of potatoes with half of the herbs, then place cut side down into hot oil.
Turn when golden brown and brown until skins lose most of their red color
    Remove potatoes to plate
Add onion to the oil and cook until transparent
Add minced garlic on top of onions and stir just until the onions start to brown (DO NOT OVERCOOK THE GARLIC)

Pour water into skillet over the onion/garlic mixture and stir to deglaze

Return potatoes to the dutch oven
( and arrange chicken pieces over the potatoes, the chicken should be above the liquid surface. )
Ladle out any excess and reserve for later if needed.
    Cover tightly and bake
Check after about 25 mins to see if more liquid needs to be added since different lids retain more moisture
Add cheese sauce and heat till warmed
Remove chicken and potatoes to a serving bowl,
Pour the sauce over the chicken and potatoes

  34. They just had a segment on the Today Show earlier this week that was about cool new websites. There was one I found AMAZING for this exact purpose!

It’s http://www.supercook.com. What you do is enter in the ingredients you have in your kitchen and it spits out a bunch of recipes you can make with just that.

When I entered in your list, it came back with 6 different recipes!

Check it out, it’s really cool!
