From flower to fruit, a cherry tomato takes about 30 days if the plant is in full sun.
The larger varieties of tomatoes take much longer to mature. Some of the larger tomatoes take over 70 days to reach maturity.

  1. help. I planted 9 big beef tomato plans 6 weeks ago in perhaps the space of a square foot . they are over a meter tall. is it too late to transplant them, will the transplantation harm the roots? how will it harm them to plant them this close?

  2. It takes 70 days for the patio tomato to reach maturity. I have patio tomatoes and the label says 70 days from the time it is planted. I have had them for 3 weeks and they are not grown.
