Cherry Tomato Seedlings ready to go into Ebb & Grow hydroponic system

Showing off our seedlings!! These are the Tiny Tim seedlings we planted on Dec 23, 2011. Now, 20 days later, they are ready to go into our 24 site Ebb & Grow…

Question by Backofthenet: Where can I find Italian tomatoes in the UK (for making sauces for italian cuisine)?
I’m looking for tomatoes grown in Italy. Any idea where I can find them? I’ve seen tinned and sun-dried tomatoes that say they are from Italy. Will they do for cooking instead of tomatoes or cherry tomatoes if the recipe specifies them? Will the taste be what I’m looking for?

Thanks.

  1. go to hell
street and there should be a kmart

  2. It depends on the recipe. If it calls for Italian STYLE tinned/canned tomatoes and you can’t find them there is a Very simple fix.

Add an Italian seasoning blend, and a little garlic to the tomatoes, it has just been done for you in the Italian Style ones. If you don;t have the seasoning mix just add in a pinch or so of parsley, basil, thyme, orgenao, fried chives, etc….

Now for fresh tomato recipes you can use what ever is available.. I’ve never heard of an “Italian Tomato”, but I am in the states and we may just call them something different. But I think grape tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, roma etc….are all an Itlian type tomato, well any tomato for that matter.

So in fresh recipes use what ever you want, or have available.
