Question by TLW: How do you prepare chicken to serve over a simple salad?
I’m planning to serve chicken breast strips over a lettuce and tomato salad with Thousand Island dressing. How should I prepare the chicken? I’m looking for some suggestions to make it tasty and healthy, in spite of the awful dressing!
I’ll need to prepare it inside, as I have no grill.

  1. grill it… always tastes better, and better than frying.

  2. Honey and lemon marinade, fried in clarified butter or grill it.

  3. Cook in the oven until the temperature reaches 170° on a meat thermometer on 350° in the oven. take out chicken let it rest for about 5 minutes and than cut it into strips

  4. fry it lightley then chop it up and add it to your salad.
maybe add some bbq sauce over the chicken
look on google for good spices and that for chicken

by the way dressing isnt healthy! it has alot of calories in it you might aswell eat
a cream cake it best not to use dressing :)

  5. Dressing CAN be healthy it just depends what type you are using (ie is it low fat, did you make it at home etc) I made these yesterday for my lunch today. I cut the chicken breast almost in half but kept it attached (butterflied) so that it would cook more evenly and not get dried out our burnt as I also do not have a grill outside. I seasoned them with a little olive oil, lemon juice and any seasoning mix either bought or homemade (suggestions: rosemary, garlic powder, ginger powder, paprika, cumin, salt, pepper, oregano..you can use all or some of these depending on taste) let them marinate for 10min- 3 hours then place into a very hot pan (not non-stick) let them sear on each side for about a minute, turn the heat down and let them finish cooking. try not to poke, flip, cut etc them at all as they will lose all their juices. cut them one they have cooled down on a plate or cutting board.
