Question by B: do I need a cage or just a stick for my tomato plants?
my question is can I just use a thick wood stick and tie my tomato plants to the stick or I need to build a cage? thanks.

This depends on whether you have a determinate plant, one that grows into a small bush, or an indeterminate plant, one that grows like a long vine and climbs over things. I use both on my plants whether they are bushes or vines.

  1. Crazy huh!

  2. @Graveltrucking I don’t understand why I live in one of the most fertile
States in the US, in so far as produce, and everything that is sold in our
stores are from other countries. It just doesn’t seem right. And the
processing/chemicals needed to keep the food fresh for their journey to the
consumer is criminal. I do what I can, thanks for watching.

  5. @fritzhvac Hey Mr Fritz, I would offer to overnight some fresh To-Maters
when they come due, but I am not having much luck with shipping companies
these days. LOL Thanks for watching Brother, I appreciate the comment.

  6. Hey Mr Ken, they are not doing well at all. I made a “help me” vid, and
pretty much determined I don’t get enough direct sunlight where I live to
keep them happy. Sorry didn’t respond sooner, I just found this comment,
some reason YT didn’t let me know you left one.

  7. Your welcome… They really grew well in these pots… I had problems,
though, because I let the leaves get too wet in the green house and they
got moldy… nothing to do with the pots. just my in-attention to the
    watering process. THanks for watching.

  8. how are those maters doing now? I didnt see a follow up vid…

  12. @fritzhvac Aww heck, I am all but over it. I already know how the
conversation will go. we’re really sorry, here’s your money..blah blah
blah, but nothing will change. I will still have to burn a work day to
replace the clutch and they will continue on without accountability. My
best response is not to use them anymore.

  13. @swampratman2000 I kept bees for many, many years along side the local farm
land and it was very cool. A few years ago, I just got way to busy with
work and kids to give them the time they needed, so I passed them on to a
great guy who still tends to them. I have lansdcaped my yard with plants
that attract and support the local bee population. I checked out your
channel, and I know it’s a challenge to keep your hives healthy with the
    snow. Thanks for watching.

  14. @yourbeekeeper Brother , I bit my Tongue when I hit the Post button !!! I

  16. @highron2 So far they seem very happy, I am eager to see how they do too.
    THanks for watching.

  17. The plant will bend around and grow straight up toward the sun. I used 14
inch sections of clothes line, and tied it onto the growing ends. This
weighs the tips down, and they don’t grow straight up. If they grow up,
when the tomatoes get heavy, they pull the plant down and snap it.

  18. Wow….I never thought about that! Great idea bud!

  19. @krupter It really seems like it would work well, and an efficient use of
space. I will keep updates coming. Thanks for watching.
