Question by Wade: ants in garden how do I get rid of them?
I have a raised bed garden down here in central Florida and there’s no plants in it yet.I was just about to put a couple of Cherry tomato plants in it, but I saw little ants making an ant pile in the dirt. They have already started laying eggs and I just put new dirt in there. I want the ants gone but don’t want to use any pesticides that will harm the plants. I need to put the plants in right away because they are getting to big for there little containers. Please help.

  1. Use a some kind of chemical that you can get at stores. At stores they have many diffrent bug killers. Find the one that works for you. Good Luck!

  2. You could just leave them alone. Ants aren’t usually a problem in the garden. Sometimes they farm aphids but if you control the aphids effectively then they won’t be able to do that and meanwhile the ants will be eating many other bugs in the yard including some that are pests.

  3. Dont destroy their habbitat – The Earth is their home too – they have probably worked 10X as hard as you to get their home! So leave them, your dirty creature, your a disgrace to our Planett! They have lives too you know all they want to do is reproduce and get on with their lifes, if you want to get rid of them in a nice way – Shovel their little gimes up and put it somewhere nice, DONT KILL THEM! YOU NASTY ANIMAL!!
    Thankyou ^.^

  4. depends on what kind of ants.. but my husband told me moth balls will get them to leave…if it works do let me know..

  5. I never had problems with ants you’ll probably have other bugs and animals to worry about.

  6. Ants are the good, the bad and the ugly. If they are just starting their nest, pouring some soapy water on them will kill them and it will not hurt you or your garden.
The good is, they kill insects that harm the plants.
The ugly is in what’s your source.
