Question by monkeywrench: Have I developed a alergy to diet cokes?
This sounds repulsive but when I drink one it comes back up in just a few minutes and the only way ai have found to counteracting this is drinking tomato juice. Is this rational or what is happening to my digestive system?

It’s possible. Try to not drink it for a day or two, then drink one, as long as the reaction isn’t bad, check this way.
This way you will know if it’s the Coke or not for sure, then once you find out, you can look into it more.
If you are, very simple. Don’t drink it.
If not. You will learn over time what’s causing it.

  1. An allergy would not cause reflux or vomiting alone. The symptoms you describe strongly suggest the GI tract may be irritated and doesn’t like the bubbles (carbon dioxide) in the soda. Try opening a Diet Coke and leave it in the refrigerator for about 3-4 hours, then try some. It won’t hurt you, it is simply the drink without the bubbles. If it doesn’t come up, that may be your answer.

If you avoid things with carbonation or bubbles for two to three weeks, you may find your stomach will settle down and you can try them again (stopping if you have symptoms, of course.)

  2. Than don’t drink it. There’s other things diet
