  7. Awwwwwwww! Thanks! You’re quite welcome! Sorry, that giveaway is over. I have plenty more to give away but I’ve been so busy with work and house hunting, I’ve not had time to make a new video. But there will be more and more solar flowers to send out.

  8. I love your video’s! I haven’t grown a garden in about 20 years but I plan on having one this year. You and a few others have inspired me to do so. Thank you for taking the time to inspire others! “dancing flower entry”

  9. Hi Jason. I go to my local hydro store in Dayton. What part of Ohio are you in? The nutrients depend on how and what you are growing in Hydro. I’d start off as simple as you can with lettuce. If I ever get time to do a video on pump-less lettuce in a 2 liter bottle I will post that.

  10. Hey man, I know your one of my fellow Ohioans. I’m just looking all over for azomite and nutrients (hydro). Where do you go? Is it local or Online? I’m trying my first attempt at ponics. Any help would be great!

  11. Thank you very much. Well, it depends how big of a tomato plant you’re going to grow and if you any south facing windows. You could sunlight from a window plus a 2 bulb T8 shop light for additional lighting especially for cloudy days. With the lettuce you can just use a couple of 6500K CFO bulbs. Sometimes you can get good deals on used lights at hydroponic stores. The cheapest way might be to build your own lights. If you go check out Sleestaksrule, he has a great grow light build video.

  12. Great video man, I’m looking into growing hydroponic tomatoes myself, and I was just wondering would you recommend the light you use? I’m a college student and don’t have that much money, and I was looking for a good, cost-effective light that I can grow tomatoes and lettuce. Thank you.

  13. Straight coco. Thanks for the replies!

  14. I’m using a Sun Blaze 48. It’s a 4 foot long 8 (T5) bulb unit using 4 blue bulbs and 4 red.

  15. what kind of lights are you using, Thanks!

  16. If you start dropping flowers on the tomato as it gets bigger, it prolly needs fed more often. The pepper can do with less, it doesn’t drink as much, maybe 1/2 of what the tomato gets. Still an experiment in progress. I feel comfortable with the tomato, not so much with the pepper so far. Like apples and oranges. Between us all doing experiments, we’ll figure it out.

  17. I feed nutes everytime with the tomato. Are you using straight coco or 50-50 coco and perlite like I did? What size containers with the tomato and pepper? I had the pepper in a 5 gallon and the tomato in a 10 gallon. I have not had great luck with the pepper. I dropped the nutes down to 1/4 strength for the pepper and added a quarter teaspoon of sublimed sulphur (from the pharmacy) to keep the PH down and they seem to be doing better. I fed the tomato about a gallon every 2 to 3 days to start.

  18. I respect your opinion. So with that, I have 2 plants in coco coir-1 tomato and 1 green bell pepper. About how often did you feed them? Did you use nutes each time or alternate between nutes and water? Thanks in advance for your help.

  19. That sounds like an awesome offer! Thank you April. I’ll PM you my address!

  20. I will be more than happy to send you a few of the White Tomesol seeds if you would like.

  21. Wow! I’m your first sub! Awesome. I bet I won’t be the last!

  23. good video…”dancing flower entry”

  24. I read everything I can get my hands on. I really like romas and tommy toes. I want to try juliettes cause they are small romas. And surprisingly, I like patio tomatoes. They don’t get real big, but are easy to grow and seem to produce a good amount with little effort.
