  1. you lost me at cream. everything after that…just…slop.

  2. I made this two nights in a row, time to go out on a monday night lol

  3. “450g/1lb SuperValu…” You are supposed to use Metric measurements (NOT
    imperial measurements).

  4. Take the skins off the tomatoes by putting them into some very hot water, leave there for a couple of minutes, take them out and put into cold water abd leave for a few minutes, peel off the skins.
Meanwhile fry some onions on a low heat untill they’re soft. Add whatever spices you like, along with some crushed and chopped garlic. Chop the tomatoes and add them to the onions and simmer for a while. You could add some tomato puree or tomato sauce now. Add some wine or water or stock depending on your taste and simmer to the required consistency. Add fresh herbs, if you’ve got them, just before serving.

  5. A good tomato sauce is an little bit of effort but worth the labor . Place your tomatoes in a pan or dish that you can cover them with boiling water . Pour boiling water over your tomatoes to cover them . Let them sit until you see the skins have split , that is when they are easiest to peel . Peel your tomatoes , then insert your fingers into the tomatoes to open seed cells . Squeeze out the seed pockets . Repeat procedure until finished .
Next soften some onion and garlic in olive oil . When softened add 1 tsp. oregano and 1/2 tsp. crushed peppers until it is aromatic . Pour in your tomatoes . Now it is cook and stir , cook and stir on a low simmer for no less then 4 hours . Half way through add 2 tsp. of sugar to balance the loss of fructose from cooking . Now you can serve it like this or press through a sieve or colander for smoother sauce .
That does it basic sauce .
