    I do grow them in a greenhouse but the last two can be grown outdoors in a warm Summer,but I’ve never had any success outdoors.

  11. This is a nice little method. I usually just place one or two seeds in a pot and prick out the weak one. That way there is no need to repot, just plant it in the garden when it is ready.

  12. Some of the Tomato seed like the F1 Hybrid varieties can be very expensive so this way you don’t waste seed or money.
    Also if you only have a small heated propagator then this is the only way to germinate the seed,as you wouldn’t have enough room for many pots.

  22. Have you thought about starting the seedlings in a small cup in about an inch of soil then as the stem comes up adding more soil? Some call it the Praxxus method, an old lady in Missouri thought me pretty much the same thing back in 1985. It works pretty well also. The last few years because of space issues I’ve been using peat pellets to start and am not real happy with the results but I’ve bought a few mini green houses which should give me the space to start my fall garden the old way.

  23. the first year on my allotment i sorted it out this year im starting the growing your vids are great for me please keep them coming at the moment im following every thing you do my tomato plants are the same as yours watching your every move on when to start sowing the seeds and what to sow look forward to more uploads cant wait not to far from you lol south london near kent is where my allotment is bring on the good weather please from me keep them coming

  24. I never thought about that since everything I was told was to wait, but you make a great point about the root ball if you wait for the true leaf’s. Might try that on a few this year.
