  1. It has worked really well for me also. This year I had some deer start to eat tomato plants right out in the center of my garden. I had pie pans everywhere but in the center of the garden. I put more pans out in the center and no more deer. Amazing… They are troublemakers for sure..lol This is the most popular video I have! Thank you for watching.. Rick

  2. This works for me too. I’m in a subdivision and they still try to get my veggies. I moved them away from my okra for one night, and my okra were pruned by the deer. Troublemakers!

  3. I had my garden surrounded with the pans early on in the season. I noticed that a deer had ate some of my tomato plants right in the middle of the garden, so I installed more clanging pans right in the middle of the garden. that has been over 6 weeks and no more deer eating my garden.. Yea! It works here in NC. Just have to space them all around.. Thanks!!

  4. Last night something are the flower right off my sunflower.I had noticed the other night one of my elephant ears had been ripped apart. Leaves ripped right off too. I thought it was Sidney and did not think about it too much as she is roughhousing around the yard all the time. I searched everywhere for tracks but it had rained heavily last night and there were no tracks at all. The sunflower was very close to the woods so… the mystery lives on. I WILL DO THIS TODAY!!

  5. I may try your radio idea if I see any signs of deer in my garden. So far I have dodged them here in NC but there are lots and lots of deer here. But I am keeping and eye out. I will check your video’s out…Thanks for watching!

  6. Very genius, here in TX in the summer there is no wind most of the time. I use a talk radio on low inside a box, and it worked for me always. Come visit my channel lots of tomatoes 2013 in S.E. TX

  7. I have had really good luck with deer, but am really not sure about the coyotes. Hey give it a try and see! Thanks for watching and Good luck!

  8. Definitely going to try this method. We are hoping to plant some corn this year. We haven’t before because of the deer. Wonder if it would keep the coyotes away from livestock. Thank you for this. Just subbed.

  9. Thanks, I still try to do thing the old way. They worked well then so I see no reason to change something that has worked well before as you stated tried and true! Thank you for watching, Rick

  10. Simple and effective. I love these “tried and true” methods – yet for some reason people keep running to the store to spend money on the latest “trick”. Well done! We have subscribed and look forward to your updates.

  11. This method has really helped me in my garden.. Thank you for watching, Rick

  12. Great Idea. I also don’t need a 100% proof but just an edge over the deer with multiple methods. Dug up my old pie saucers out the basement yesterday and looking for sticks today. Thanks I love simple but effective.

  13. Hey Lisa,
Thank you I agree with you 100%. The old timey tried and true methods are still just as effective today I believe! Thank you for watching…. Rick

  14. My granddaddy, who was born in 1894, was a farm foreman for over 50 years for several big farmers in our area. He believed in and used this exact method every time he planted. He especially used these for his and Bigmama’s household garden. Great ideas and I love seeing the old timey, experience-proven methods being used. Brings back memories of my childhood. I used to lay in the cool grass under Bigmama’s huge redbud tree listening to those pans clink. Thanks for sharing.

  16. Ha ha, I love this! It’s as if the deer think it is threat of being made into pie.

  17. No Problem Chuck, this method has worked well for me. Glad I could help! Thanks, Rick

  21. Hi there Crackerjack,
Using the pie pans has worked really well for me the last few years. I use old cd’s to keep the crows out of my corn. That works pretty well also, but it hard to beat the old scarecrow..LOL.. Thanks for watching, Rick
