  2. I think I’ll use broth instead of water… watery soups are disgusting.

  3. fuck you adverts i refreshed the page! >:D

  4. I hate to say it, but I’m old enough to remember when Campbell’s Tomato soup was good. Now it’s awful like most canned soups. I really feel badly for people that never knew what truly good soup tasted like before they decided to make it from garbage.

Be that as it may, I used to like tomato soup and grilled cheese too. Only now I buy canned tomatoes and heat them up for the soup. They are quite delicious.

Sometimes I put slivers of onions inside my grilled cheese sandwich. Or pickles. On occasion I’ve added jalapenos too. It’s all good.

  5. I made some chicken and dumplings in the crock pot yesterday and made ham and cheese sandwiches to go with it. My wife said it was delicious.

  6. Mmmm,I love tomato soup.

I also love homemade ham shank soup with some of the ham in a sarnie with a little English mustard thinly dotted on.

  7. I used to love Tomato soup these days since i lost all my teeth i can’t chew soup.

Tomato soup & a grilled cheese sandwich.
One of my favorite comfort food combos.

  14. Campbell’s Tomato soup & a peanut butter & jelly sandwich. The fresher the bread, the better the sandwich.

  15. I like the Campbell’s tomato soup and a ham sandwich. Always tastes good to me.

  16. CO … my answer matches yours exactly! Yum … maybe tomorrow as we sit out another li’l storm.

  17. Add some saltine crackers to that combo and I’m there. Love grilled cheese sandwiches. Now I regret eating that hot dog for lunch.

  18. ‘Fresh vegetable’ – of my own concoction. Usually it’s ‘excess veg’ cooked recently – with extra caulie/broccoli/peas/tiny carrots/pots – which might well come from cans or the freezer. A cube somebody’s vegetable flavouring (non-artificial) – and hey presto – enough for 2 large bowls.
One for today and one for tomorrow.
Saves time – and waste (especially all the nutrition we get from ‘boiling’ veg – and all too often ‘drained off – poured down the sink.
    FOLLOWED by – Welsh rarebit.
Strongest ‘mature’ Cheddar – melted over 2 slices of whole-meal or granary bread – laced with Worcestershire sauce,
Takes minutes – if you do things in an organised fashion – and time is short.
As it often is – between the TV adverts.
    ; ))

  19. That too used to be one of my favorites until they had the guy chose “eat this, not that”. He said they were taking away grilled cheese sandwiches from the schools because it is grease in between toasted grease. I can’t seem to enjoy a grilled cheese since then. Can we enjoy anything anymore that used to be our favs!?! My favorite way to eat a grilled cheese sandwich was with crisp bacon & tomato. Actually I have a new fav that is mushroom & brie soap with turkey with smokey mustard sauce on marbled pumpernickel & white roll. I’m sure they would have a field day over there with “eat this, not that”! We all know you are better off eating a celery stick versus a cookie. Oops, sorry got carried away.

  20. Chicken noodle and grilled cheese. Its good for what ever ails you.

  21. tomato soup and deviled ham and egg sandwich – and I admit to Cambel’s too, made with milk and a pat of butter floating on top.

my mom used to always fix this for me when I came home from college. Miss you, Mom !

  22. Ruben on pumpernickel rye with split pea soup.

Grilled cheese, tomato soup & french fries

Sausage, meatball , onions & peppers with ‘gravy’ italian sub and minestrone soup.

BLT with Cream of Potato soup.

Garlic bread & chicken noodle soup.

    I make my own soups

  23. Hands down a Ruben and a bowl of french onion soup. It was a favorite of my Mothers, and we would go out to lunch and have it as a treat at the deli.

  24. Chicken noodle soup with a with a lettuce – tomato – sweet onion & sharp cheese sandwich on whole wheat or rye bread.

  25. Grilled cheese & tomato on rye, with a cup of low sodium beef bouillon and orzo.

  26. I love Tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwiches and I like to dip my sandwiches in the soup….Yummy!!! =)

  27. Conans Owner, yours was top on my list too. Maybe a Roast Beef Sandwich and Cream of Potato Soup. Good comfort food or staying warm.

  28. Only if the tomatoe soup is made with water instead of milk…my lactose intolerance won’t handle both!

Actually, I love the Campbell’s Mushroom Soup (made with water again but only half of what they recommend so the soup is thick, with added extra grilled mushrooms and garlic). With a couple of pieces of buttered toast on the side….Had this for my lunch today, and it was divine!

  29. I like tomato soup with half a can of milk and half a can of water with grilled cheese.

I make vegetable beef soup and like that with a peanut butter sandwich.

    Homemade potato soup with cornbread.

  30. I don’t do so well with acidy foods right now, or I might agree with your choice. I do prefer a cup of cream
of celery or bean with bacon, made with milk, and a chicken salad sandwich. That really sticks to a persons’
ribs and keeps you full for many hours. There are many days, I would enjoy having that, but it isn’t in the
budget for an accepted cost, where I live. They are making more and more cutbacks due to the economy.

  31. baked potato soup with a BLT

  32. I’m with you, it’s the best.

  33. My fav is your fav, Conan!

  34. Best food – Marie Calendar’s chicken pot pie.
Best drink – McDonald’s chocolate shake.

  36. cream of chicken and blt

  37. Campbell’s Bean w/ Bacon soup and grilled cheese sandwich.
