Question by Mer: How should I prevent pee stains in the grass?
I have bulldogs which by nature are a very sensitive breed so we are looking for a solution that is safe and effective. We’ve heard tomato juice in their food works but has anyone seen anything work for sure?

Get some garden gypsum and sprinkle it over the area the pooches pee in. The gyp will counteract the salts in the dog’s pee and help eliminate the spots. Water where they do it often. Gypsum doesn’t last forever, so figure to apply it monthly.
I’ve heard a little baking powder sprinkled/dissolved in their water might help. Girl dogs kill grass I’ve been told. My girl certainly does, but we’re all xeric now.
Fixed or not, female dog urine has a higher concentrate; frogs should be no different if enough in same spot. We had to ‘wash’ her yard spots frequently with the garden hose and soak it good; this dilutes the urine on the yard/dirt. The gypsum periodically should also help.
I have 3 jack Russel’s and tomato juice does work but they make dog treats that do the same thing with hassle
you can buy solutions from places like petsmart, home depot or any place that sells pet foods, supplies and chemicals.these solutions neutralize pet urine and promotes growth in grass.
