Question by yalubluevropu: What kind of home made sauce goes well with rainbow pasta swirls?
I am making dinner tonight and still learning how to cook. I am making salad, and garlic chicken breast will be served with rainbow swirl pasta. What kind of sauce can I make (using typical at home ingredients) that will go good with the pasta and the chicken?

  6. Don’t put in carrots. Replace with more red pepper. Grill them over gas flames till skins are scorched. place in a bowl and cover with cling film to steam, when cooled, peel of the skin, deseed, add to sauteed onions. That way, u have REAL smoky red pepper sauce. Serve with potato gnocchi and sliced pepperoni/sausages, sprinkle on some goat’s/feta cheese.

  11. If you have olive oil, garlic bits & grated parmesan – after draining the pasta and while it’s still hot, dress it up with the olive oil, garlic & parmesan…then throw in a handful of black olives [whole or cut in half is OK] and some freshly chopped parsley or cherry tomatoes…and have some extra parmesan to serve with it. This isn’t technically ‘sauce’, but is a dressy way of serving festive pasta. You might even consider having a ‘boat’ [like for gravy] of seasoned tomato sauce on the side so people can blop some of that on the pasta and also on the chicken…sorta Instant Olive Garden DIY !
