Question by Jessica: Our reception is for about 125 people. My question is, how much lettuce/tomatoes will i need for hamburgers?
We are having hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, chips, macaroni salad, potato salad, and a friend is bringing chocolate covered strawberries. It will be very casual, is the menu suitable, or should I have a plan B?

Best answer:

Answer by white gravy
only plan b option is what if it rains?

or are there any special vegans or vegetarians or food restrictions? I would serve a few chicken breasts grilled as well. you never know someone may be on a no red meat or pork diet.

otherwise sounds good to me. I would just go and get a whole tray and slice tomatoes into it and shred the lettuce to make it easier. aRe you serving onions sliced as well? or what about relish, ketchup and mustard, mayo?

  19. I agree

  20. try a blended mixture of fresh and raw (not canned) pineapple, kiwi and papaya. they contain high amounts of the correct enzymes to break down protein. you can also eat it like fruit salad, but blending it like a sauce or adding an avocado to make a pudding will make it work very quickly and easily. it is likely that your own enzymes are depleted and you should try an enzyme regimen until you have your combinations down a little better. love and light. hope this helps. peace

  27. I googled food quantities per person and a bunch of sites came up, I was looking for a reception that I am helping to cater in the fall. We decided on chicken because it’s a little nicer than hamburgers and hot dogs, but a lot cheaper than steak. Your menu sounds fine if it’s outside and you have plenty of help to do the work so you can relax and enjoy your big day. Good luck on those sites you find, they can also offer you other suggestions so you reception is a success and good luck on your upcoming wedding.

  28. Five Kg. each should be enough. On safer side buy one kg. extra. I would add few trays of cheese sandwiches and few trays of tuna sandwiches to take care of vegans and non meat eaters.

  29. I think its awesome that you guys are doing a casual meal for a wedding! It tends to make people more comfortable. I think thats cool. Why would you need a plan B?
