Question by Cinny: Does anyone know a Tomato Soup recipe that uses canned tomatoes?
I have some canned tomatoes and want to make a soup. Does anyone know any recipes?

Tomato bisque, or vegetable soup with tomatoes in it.
I think as long as the recipe doesn’t call for roasted tomatoes you can use canned tomatoes in place of fresh. You might just want to drain and reserve the liquid from the can so can control the thickness and texture of the soup. If you find a recipe that calls for flavors you enjoy go for it. Just remember to adjust the cooking time. Canned tomatoes are already somewhat cooked.
There’s a really tasty tomato and anchovy recipe that i often make, just ground up a tin of anchovies mix in with about 75ml of olive and 2 tins of chopped tomatoes, add basil and heat until piping hot. serve with shredded fresh basil and sliced parmesan.
