Question by Justhitched: How long can turkey sausage, in link form, cook in my tomato (gravy) sauce?
I’m making a tomato sauce with braciole in it and simmering for a few hours, and I’m planning on putting turkey sausage in it to simmer all day as well, but since it’s turkey it seems like it’ll get overcooked more than pork sausage would? If I put the braciole in the sauce at 11 and dinner’s at 4, when should I put in the sausage?

Last couple of hours, I’d suggest.

  1. over cooked is over cooked, no matter what the meat. the turkey will be drier because of less fat.
I would add it at the last hour.
