Question by Cookies: How do I use a Pasta sauce?
I have a pasta sauce that comes in like a bottle. What should I do with it. Do I cook it in a pot? Do I pour the spagetti over it in the pot? What should I do? Please be thorough because I am an amateur when it comes to spagetti.

Read the label and do it how it says. It’s unlikely it wouldn’t have instructions on the packaging. =D

  10. True comfort food…who doesn’t love spaghetti? Thumbs up!

  11. Seriously, you don’t know how to make spaghetti with a jar of sauce? Just warm it up and pour it over the cooked noodles.

  12. Pour it in a small pot and gently warm it up. If you have the heat too high, it will bloop all over the stove. Taste it – it may be sour or bitter – add a bit of brown sugar. If you’re feeling adventurous, fry up a bit of hamburger or ground turkey first, drain off the fat and then add the sauce

  13. well you pour the sauce into a pan, and heat it on low, stirring once in a while….
you cook your spaghetti according to the directions on the box, boiling a pot of water and adding your pasta once it is a full rolling boil and cooking usually about 8-10 minutes.
then once your pasta is cooked, you drain it, put it on a plate and pour your spaghetti sauce over top….

  14. While you are cooking your pasta, take another saucepan and add the jar of sauce to it and cook over low heat until heated through. After the pasta is cooked and drained, place the pasta on a serving platter and pour the sauce over the top. You can add some Parmesan cheese to garnish over the top.
    Hope this helps.

  15. Well i believe i have the same kind. What you do is depending on how much you are you using put it in a pot big enough for it to bubble a little and not go over the top. Then put it on the stove on medium. Let it bubble a little. Keep allowing it to bubble but when it starts sticking to the bottom stir it. And even if it doesn’t stick you need to stir occasionally. Then when hot put over noodles.

  16. You mean in a jar, from the market? It’s precooked, just cook your spaghetti and pour heated jar sauce over top, toss to mix and serve with grated cheese.

  17. i hope this is a joke….if not, just have a piece of bread and a cup of water…you could cause a fire or something otherwise…also, use only plastic sporks for utensils and buy the best first timers recipe book…its called dads cook book and you should be able to get it in any book store..its how i started….long long ago

  18. You could make chicken Parmesan: start by coating it using prepared bread crumbs (from a canister) and boil your pasta according to pkg. instructions, then heat up your sauce (from the jar) but first saute the following, if you like: (you can add more ingredients if you like) such as fresh onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, etc. and pour over your breaded chicken and pasta..very good! You can also cook ground beef with onion, Italian spices, drain and top with the sauce and noodles..yummy!

  19. I just heat the jar sauce in a bowl in the microwave and then pour over cooked noodles, mix and eat. Sometimes I will brown some ground beef, pour the jar sauce into the same pan in browned the beef in, heat it until it is hot and then pour over cooked noodles and eat.

    Grandma’s Meat Sauce

“This is a great meaty pasta sauce recipe passed down through the generations from my great great grandfather in Sicily. I also use this sauce when I make my lasagna. I don’t like large chunks of meat in my sauce, so I put it all in the food processor when done and it comes out as a very thick meaty sauce.”
