how long till i see red tomatoes?
i planted them later in the summer, and I live in NC, so only about a month and a half left for warm weather. Will I be seeing tomatoes this year?

Probably anywhere between 8 to 12 weeks depending on the size they are at maturity. Small fruit like cherry tomatoes mature much faster than the large tomatoes.
EDIT: If it is getting close to frost time and your tomatoes are mature, you can pick them off the vine and put them in brown paper bags to ripen. Keep them in a dark cool place and they will ripen nicely. They are fully mature when they turn from dark green to light green.

  1. It depends on the variety of tomato you have growing. Usually from 70 to 80 days is the average time it takes for a tomato to mature.
