Use garden soil and the largest pots you can find. Also do not over crowd, brocoli will only grow one plant per pot usually.

  2. because of their large root systems,#3,4,5,7 will not grow to their full potential unless you have LARGE pots.Unless you have trellis’s or an area were the vine can drape down,#6,8a 12 will not do well.watermelon require lots of water. What I suggest is still getting very large pots and grow#2 8a,8b,9,10,12and 14 patio tomatoes.Yes you can start seed inside now.get your self 7-8 big pots and 5 bags of complete planting mix,a bag of stone for the drainage at the bottom of each pot and two or three bags of top soil to mix well with the complete mix.fill, plant, and water.put in a sunny location.get a few stakes for support and a roll of jute(twine)to make homemade trellises have fun and good luck.hint :stay away from chemicals if you can.

  3. There is a variety of cherry tomato I grow called Tumblin Tom that grows well in a hanging pot. Green onions, brocolli, egg plant and peppers will grow well in pots. Some varieties of bush zcchini will do okay but not great. There are regular tomatos you can grow as well, ask a local greenhouse operation what they have, good luck/
