Every few years I like to drink a few tomato juice cocktails. Does anyone have any personal favorites, beyond the juice, vodka and pepper?

When I bar tended, I would make my own mix. I am an avid Bloody Mary drinker. and all my customers (including myself) loved them. Here is the recipe
I use V-8 because it’s a little thinner at home, but my bar always bought tomato juice, it doesn’t really matter. If you use tomato juice, just thin it out with a little water.
Anyways, here are the main additives….
–teaspoon of A-1 steak sauce and/or Worcestershire sauce ( I put a dash of both in, but A-1 is a necessity)
–1/2 teaspoon of horseradish
–dash of lime juice
–a little olive juice
–salt & pepper
—————-make a celery salt rim by rimming your glass with a lime or some lime juice, then damping it onto a plate of celery salt.
—–garnish with two queen olives and a pickle spear and/or celery stick. (or traditional lime wedge)
here is the recipe I use, but if this is too much work, Mr. & Mrs. T’s Bloody Mary Mix is the best out there IMO; it is also the mix choice of all major airlines. There is a reason for that.

First off you always want to use lemon juice NOT lime, every good bartender knows this,it really is better. Also use fresh grated horseradish,Tabasco ,Worcestershire and celery salt. If you like olive juice works and garnish with cucumbers, olives, lemon, even shrimp, go nuts, it is a Bloody Mary have fun!! Don’t forget to rim your glasses, rum with some lemon and dip in celery salt, it will look great. Cheers!
